The Missouri Aviation Historical Society is pleased to announce the upcoming March meeting will be dedicated to a very special presentation- Nose art’s of the 4th Fighter Group!  The 4th Fighter Group was the highest scoring fighter group in all the USAAF during WWII, and their Spitfires, Thunderbolts, and Mustangs adorned some of the very best Nose Art. Please plan to join as the society hots Howard and Lynn Chilberg for their first presentation of her father, Donald E. Allen’s Nose Art. Don was a crew chief with the 4th FG, and with a major in illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art, soon became sought after, with the pilots asking him to paint the noses of their mounts. Howard and Lynn will be bringing copies of her father’s artwork that has been reproduced and will be available for purchase after the presentation.
