The Missouri Aviation Historical Society recently participated in S.T.E.M. week at Prairie View Elementary School. MOAVHIST member Joe Gurney took his traveling Blue Angels presentation to Cynthia Ivancic’s classroom which included custom made handouts of an F/A-18 Hornet, photos, books, and other exciting manipulative’s. Mrs. Ivancic’s son is also a T-45 Goshawk instructor pilot for the U.S. Marine Corps who attended the classroom and other S.T.E.M. night activities. Photos below show all the action, including up close and personal with John Ivancic’s T-45. Events like these are crucial for promoting careers and dreams in the growing fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to the next generation. A very special thanks to Mrs. Ivancic’s classroom, the entire Ivancic family, Prairie View Elementary School, and the Wentzville School District.
