September 2015: Airshow Photography 101!

The Missouri Aviation Historical Society held their September meeting, ‘Airshow Photography 101’ on September 17th. Local aviation photographers showcased recent material and provided insight/tips on the power of a camera. April Meeting: 75th anniversary of the Curtiss-Wright C-46 Commando

Thursday, April 16th brought MOAVHIST’s 50th formal meeting, this time to remember the C-46 Commando’s 75 anniversary. With design and initial production roots in St. Louis, the plane would go on to become a major asset during WWII. A few C-46’s still fly today in the United States and Africa. January Meeting: 40th Anniversary of the F-15 ‘Streak Eagle’ Flights

MOAVHIST kicked off the new year with another anniversary, this time celebrating 40 years since the record breaking McDonnell Douglas F-15 ‘Streak Eagle’ flights, known for breaking eight time to climb records over a two week period in January 1975. Boeing Company WSO Talks Growler

The Missouri Aviation Historical Society was recently honored to host current Navy Captain/Boeing WSO Dana “PERK” Perkins for the August 2014 meeting. Perkins currently serves as a Naval Reserve Assistant Chief of Staff and instructor at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, NAS Fallon, Nevada. Blue Angels Course at St. Louis Community College
